On April 18, 2025, Vice President Huang Jingzhong of Han Shan Normal University led an industry-academia team to Guangdong PITO Technology Co., Ltd. to fully implement the university-enterprise joint construction project, focusing on the inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of Chaozhou Blue and White Porcelain craftsmanship and industrial innovation. By driving with the “education chain + industry chain” dual wheels, we will inject new vitality into the thousand-year-old kiln fire!
Relying on PITO Technology’s more than 80 ceramic patent technologies, both parties will jointly build the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Blue and White Porcelain Digital Protection Center.” Using 3D modeling, material analysis, and other technologies to restore traditional glaze color processes, and developing traceable intangible cultural heritage ceramic IPs, we will bring ancient skills to life in the present day.
Skill Innovation:
The team of Feng Hanzhi from the School of Fine Arts, in collaboration with corporate designers, will integrate Chaozhou wood carving and Chaozhou embroidery patterns into the design of blue and white porcelain shapes, creating cultural and creative fine products with “one piece, one story”;
Green Intelligent Manufacturing:
The team of Zhang Wenxing from the School of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering will tackle the development of blue and white porcelain environmental glaze, solving the problem of high energy consumption in traditional firing;
Industry Empowerment:
Professor Li Yi from the School of Economics and Management will lead a team to conduct research on the global ceramic market and formulate cross-border e-commerce marketing strategies for the blue and white porcelain brand;
Dean Chen Jing of the School of Chaozhou Cuisine proposed that PITO craftsmen be stationed at the School of Chaozhou Cuisine to offer the special course “Ceramic Aesthetics and Food Culture”; Han Shan Normal University students will set up a “Non-material Cultural Heritage Innovation Laboratory” in the enterprise to participate in the entire product development process; Director He Lin of the Research Department will take the lead in establishing a “university-enterprise patent sharing pool” to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
President Liu Haichun said: This cooperation is a core measure of Han Shan Normal University’s implementation of the “Culture + Technology” Double Hundred Action Plan. Through the cross-school working group led by Vice President Huang Jingzhong (including Director Zhang Huiying of the Research Department, Deputy Director Lin Xuefen of the Development Planning Department, etc.), we will use blue and white porcelain as a bond to write a Chaozhou answer to the integration of industry, academia, research, and application!
