In order to promote friendly exchanges of folk culture and trade between China and Africa, on September 22th., Mr. Kwame Conan, Ambassador and Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire, Liu Jisen, Dean of the Institute of African Studies at Guangzhou Foreign Studies University, and Liu Dongqian, a teacher from the Nissin Reading Club, came to guide GBI·PITO Exquisite Tableware Nice Food Cultural and Creative Experience Center, experiencing Chinese ceramics and feel the Chinese culture of “beautiful tableware and nice food”.

Mr. Kwame Conan, Ambassador and Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire, and Liu Jisen, President of the African Institute of Guangzhou Foreign Studies University, visited the GBI & PITO Art Studio to learn about the current cultural and creative design situation of PITO, experienced traditional ceramic printmaking, and personally draw exclusive ceramics plate.

Subsequently, the Consul General and his delegation visited GBI·PITO’s ceramic products in the field of hotel supplies, and listened to the introduction of various project cases undertaken by PITO. The Consul General spoke highly of the product quality and services of PITO Ceramics.

At the symposium, Mr. Xi Yao, President of the Sino-Portuguese International Trade and Investment Cooperation Center and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, introduced the current progress of economic and trade, new energy, international investment and other projects carried out by the International Cooperation Center to the Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire, and hoped that in the subsequent international trade and investment, a cooperative relationship can be established with Cote d’Ivoire.

Mr. Xu Hongsheng of Guangdong PITO Porcelain Co., Ltd. also introduced PITO’s international “Exquisite tableware & Nice food” cultural exchanges, hotel supplies business and ceramic cultural creation projects to the Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire, and expressed his gratitude to the Consul General for visiting GBI· PITO Exquisite Tableware Nice Food Cultural and Creative Experience Center, hopes to have more opportunities in the future to establish exchanges and cooperation, between Africa and China, also Côte d’Ivoire and China .

The Consul General of Côte d’Ivoire said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Côte d’Ivoire and China. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Côte d’Ivoire and China in 1983, relations between Cote d’Ivoire and China have always maintained healthy and stable development, with increasingly close economic and trade exchanges and continuous expansion of cultural exchanges.

Peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation among countries with different social systems and different histories and cultures. I hope that in the future, in the Greater Bay Area, we can have more opportunities with the Sino-Portuguese International Trade and Investment Cooperation Center and the GBI·PITO Exquisite Tableware Nice Food Cultural and Creative Experience Center,  to jointly promote the development of China-Côte d’Ivoire relations to a new level and contribute to the construction of a new era of high-tech and make greater contributions to a China-Africa community with a shared future.

  • “Lucky Rabbit” shows the auspiciousness of the jade rabbit to show the friendly business exchanges between China and -Côte d’Ivoire.
