On September 14, 2026, the China Zhi Gong Association in Italy hosted a Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day celebration dinner at Frontemare Ristorante in Rimini, Italy. Nearly 200 guests from China and Italy gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Representatives from the local governments of Rimini, Chinese community organizations, association members and their families, and Chinese students in Italy attended the event. Distinguished guests included Jamil Sadegholvaad, President of the Province of Rimini and Mayor of Rimini, and Filippo Gasperi, Mayor of Gradara.
Celebrating Together and Strengthening China-Italy Exchange
Yang Xianwei, President of the China Zhi Gong Association in Italy, said in his address that the association will continue to uphold its mission of serving the public good, promoting collaborative development, bringing together the strength of overseas Chinese, and supporting China-Italy exchange.
Several Chinese and Italian guests also delivered remarks, sharing their hopes for the continued development of the overseas Chinese community and extending their holiday greetings.
The evening featured Italian dance performances, a yangqin solo, Chinese songs, and Chinese-Italian bilingual performances, creating a lively atmosphere while highlighting the cultural exchange between China and Italy.

Xu Hongsheng, General Manager of PITO, attended the event. He also serves as Deputy Director of the Overseas Liaison Committee of the Guangzhou Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party and Honorary President of the China Zhi Gong Association in Italy.
In his remarks, Mr. Xu extended his holiday greetings to the guests and spoke about the strong connection between overseas Chinese communities and their hometowns. He noted that China and Italy share a long history of cultural exchange, while overseas Chinese in Italy play an important role in strengthening people-to-people connections between the two countries.

The celebration was also one of the largest member gatherings held by the China Zhi Gong Association in Italy since its establishment. Through the festive gathering, cultural performances, and exchanges among Chinese and Italian guests, the event strengthened community connections and highlighted the vitality of people-to-people cultural exchange.
