As lanterns illuminated the evening and the festive spirit of the Lantern Festival filled the air, PITO welcomed the new working year with a vibrant internal celebration that blended traditional Chinese culture with team spirit and renewed ambition.

The event, themed “Lantern Lights & A Fresh Start”, brought colleagues together to celebrate the final chapter of the Lunar New Year season while marking the beginning of a new journey for the company in 2026.

A Festive Start Filled with Anticipation

Employees gathered at the venue and received their personalized event cards and lucky draw tickets, symbolizing good fortune and new opportunities for the year ahead.

The cheerful check-in moment quickly set the tone for an evening full of laughter, interaction, and celebration—an ideal start to a new chapter for the PITO team.

Lantern Riddles and Interactive Games Spark the Evening

One of the highlights of the celebration was the Lantern Riddle Challenge, a beloved Chinese Lantern Festival tradition.

Red lanterns decorated the venue, each carrying playful riddles and cultural trivia. Colleagues worked individually and in teams to solve puzzles, participate in interactive challenges, and collect stamps on their event cards.

The activities included:

  • Lantern riddle quizzes related to festival traditions
  • Fun word-guessing challenges inspired by horse imagery for the new year
  • Music recognition challenges that tested teamwork and quick thinking

Every completed challenge earned participants a stamp, and accumulated stamps could be exchanged for carefully prepared gifts—adding excitement and friendly competition throughout the evening.

Making Tangyuan Together: A Sweet Lantern Festival Tradition

Another memorable moment came during the DIY tangyuan (glutinous rice dumpling) workshop, where employees gathered to prepare the traditional Lantern Festival dessert together.

Classic fillings such as black sesame, peanut, and salted egg yolk were prepared, and colleagues shaped the dumplings by hand. From first-time attempts to increasingly skillful creations, the activity quickly turned into a lively and heartwarming experience.

When the freshly cooked tangyuan were finally served, their warm, soft sweetness brought everyone together—perfectly reflecting the festival’s meaning of reunion and harmony.

A Night of Celebration and Shared Memories

The celebration continued with a festive dinner and a special New Year kickoff video, reflecting on PITO’s achievements while sharing aspirations for the future.

The evening concluded with relaxed entertainment activities including table tennis, shuttlecock games, and spontaneous karaoke, where music and laughter filled the room and brought the celebration to a joyful climax.

Through this Lantern Festival gathering, the PITO team not only experienced the charm of traditional Chinese culture but also strengthened the spirit of collaboration and motivation for the year ahead.
