The World Expo 2025 Osaka, with the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, will be held on Dream Island, Osaka from April 13th to October 13th, 2025.
The Guangdong Activity Week of the China Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, hosted by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, will be held from June 27th to 29th, 2025. The Guangdong Activity Week will highlight the local characteristics and cultural features of Lingnan, and organize a series of economic and trade, cultural and technological exchange activities around the theme of “Green and Beautiful Guangdong, Smart and Innovative Future”.
PITO will showcase the Chaozhou intangible cultural heritage of blue and white porcelain and the 300-year-old Song Dynasty tea at the Guangdong Event Week of the China Pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan, presenting the thousand-year-old charm of Chinese ceramics and Chaozhou tea culture to audiences from over 100 countries around the world!
A Date with the World Expo
From 2017 to 2025, PITO’s cultural mission has remained unwavering.
Since debuting on the international stage as a “Cultural Exchange Ambassador” at the 2017 Astana World Expo, PITO has been committed to showcasing the beauty of Chinese ceramic art to the world.
Although we missed the originally scheduled participation in the Dubai Expo due to the pandemic, we never gave up. In December 2024, under the organization of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), we will return to the Expo with works that blend tradition and innovation.
This journey has taught us that the path of inheriting intangible cultural heritage is full of challenges, but as long as we stay true to our original aspiration, we will always find a way forward.
At this World Expo 2025 Osaka, PITO embarks on a new journey, presenting two signature exhibits:
- Intangible Cultural Heritage Blue and White Porcelain Gift —”Success Upon Arrival”
Crafted by Xu Ruisheng, a recognized inheritor of Chaozhou Blue and White Porcelain techniques, this piece blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. It symbolizes the collaborative spirit of the Belt and Road Initiative, with galloping horses representing unity and progress.
In Chinese culture, the horse is a symbol of perseverance, success, and pioneering. Chaozhou blue and white porcelain, once a key export along the Maritime Silk Road, stands as a historical witness to global trade and cultural exchange.
- 300-Year-Old Song Dynasty Tea from Ancient Phoenix Single-Cluster Trees
Phoenix Mountain is home to more than 4,800 ancient tea trees over 200 years old, over 30 trees exceeding 300 years, and 6 trees aged more than 500 years. These centuries-old tea trees have been cultivated and passed down by generations of ancestors on Phoenix Mountain, making them a precious treasure of the region. At the event, there will also be an immersive experience featuring the “Top Ten Chaozhou Souvenir Tea Sets + Gongfu Tea Ceremony.”

PITO will use an exhibition design concept of “One Vessel, One Tea” to narrate the harmonious philosophy of Chinese culture.
