Am 15. April 2026, Samuel Ruiz Tena, Vizebürgermeister von Elche, Spanien, und Stadtrat für wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, leitete eine Delegation zum Besuch der PITO International Exhibition & Trade Center. The visit focused on exploring Chinese intangible cultural heritage (ICH) blue-and-white porcelain alongside modern ceramic manufacturing, fostering deeper cultural exchange and economic collaboration between China and Spain.

Discovering 600 Years of Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain
Accompanied by the PITO team, Herr. Samuel Ruiz first visited the ICH Chaozhou Porcelain Culture Museum, where he gained an immersive understanding of the 600-year heritage and craftsmanship of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain.
From traditional hand-painted techniques to innovative reinterpretations of heritage craftsmanship, and from imperial-inspired aesthetics to contemporary lifestyle designs, each piece reflects the essence of Eastern artistry and its evolving expression in modern contexts. Während des Besuchs, Herr. Ruiz showed particular appreciation for the blue-and-white porcelain vases, praising their elegant color palette and refined hand-painted craftsmanship.

Exploring New Opportunities for China–Spain Collaboration
The delegation then toured the PITO product showroom, gaining deeper insight into the brand’s achievements in high-temperature-fired state banquet porcelain, cultural and creative ceramics, and ICH-inspired product development. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on ceramic design innovation, heritage preservation, the integration of Eastern and Western aesthetics, and international market expansion.
It was widely agreed that ceramics serve not only as a cultural medium but also as a bridge for international cooperation. Future collaboration between Elche and China could be strengthened through industrial partnerships and cultural exchange, supporting the global promotion of Chinese ICH ceramics.

Driving Global Cultural Exchange and Integration
This visit represents both a meaningful industry exchange and an important step in PITO’s commitment to heritage preservation and cultural globalization. Through direct engagement and firsthand experience, the distinctive charm of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain was further recognized and appreciated by international guests.
Blick nach vorn, PITO will continue to use porcelain as a medium to integrate traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, promoting Chinese ceramic culture on the global stage. By embracing cross-cultural dialogue, PITO aims to unlock new opportunities for collaboration and contribute to a future of shared growth and cultural synergy.
