
On June 13, 2025, Herr. Fernando Fernández Guerra, Consul General of Uruguay in Guangzhou, along with Consulate Secretary Ms. Wu Shiyue, visited the PITO·
GBI Experience Center for an official exchange. Accompanied by Mr. Xu Hongsheng, Chairman of PITO, Consul General Fernández gained an in-depth understanding of Chaozhou’s intangible cultural heritage—particularly the art of blue-and-white porcelain—and even took part in creating a ceramic plate painting at PITO’s art studio.

The Consul General shared that he has participated in some intangible cultural heritige ceramic workshop handcraft’ experience activities before, making his experience at PITO both enjoyable and intuitive. He also enthusiastically introduced Uruguay’s renowned livestock culture—“Every cow has a unique identification number, traceable throughout its lifetime”—a philosophy of craftsmanship that resonates with the spirit of fine ceramics.

PITO’s independently developed ”Longde Porcelain” earned high praise for its exceptional impact resistance (40% above national standards), and the premium bone china’s “jade-like whiteness and mirror-like brilliance”, with a bone ash content of up to 52%.


During themeetingdiscussion, the Consul General provided a detailed overview of the Uruguayan market. He noted that as a high-income country in South America, Uruguayan consumers exhibit strong demand for personalized, high-quality home products. He recommended that PITO develop more blue-and-white porcelain collections while avoiding gold-rimmed designs to better align with local cultural preferences.

PITO Accelerates Global Expansion
New Office Plans Unveiled

Currently, PITO’s products have been exported to 32 countries and regions worldwide, serving over 150 major domestic and international projects.Notable clients include Dubai’s EMAAR Hotel Group and official banquets during the French President’s visit to Guangzhou.

Herr. Xu also revealed that PITO has begun planning a new 5,000-square-meter office space in Guangzhou’s Pazhou district. This facility will integrate R&D, Design, and international business operations to further enhance the company’s global market capabilities. The Consul General expressed strong approval of these plans and expressed his intention to visit the new office upon its completion.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Lin Xiaoqin, Generalsekretär der China Hotel Supplies Association, Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Liu Dongqian, und Frau. Lu Jin, Overseas Business Department Manager of PITO.
During the discussions, Deputy Secretary-General Liu introduced the work of the Association’s International Trade Professional Committee to the Consul General. She expressed the Association’s keen interest in establishing industry exchanges with Uruguay, aiming to build a more expansive platform for bilateral cooperation.

Following the talks, PITO presented the Consul General withSuccess Upon Arrival, a masterpiece by Mr. Xu Ruisheng, a recognized inheritor of Chaozhou’s blue-and-white porcelain heritage. This work will also be featured as a custom exhibit in the Guangdong Pavilion during China Week at Expo 2025 Osaka. Blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, it reflects the profound cultural legacy of Chinese ceramics.

In return, the Consul General gifted a signed commemorative book titled 70 Years of China–Uruguay Economic and Trade Relations. This exchange of cultural gifts symbolized the deepening friendship and opened a new chapter of collaboration between the two nations.
